or BOC for short!
As part of the new patrol structure this year, a specialist Beach Operations Committee (BOC for short) has been formed.
BOC is made up of the four Patrols Captains, the Chief Instructor (Chelsea), Junior Club Captain (Dave), Vice Club Captain (Darcy), Club Captain (Jess), and from time to time, the four Vice Patrol Captains (John, Dharshini, Kyall and Alex).
BOC will be responsible for all beach operations (hence the name) including patrols, patrol and competition equipment, coordinating water safety for special events and any other related activities.
Patrolee of the month
Another important function of BOC will be choosing the patrolee of the month, being someone who has given that little bit extra during their patrol and shown commitment and Cape spirit! Each patrolee of the month will receive a prize in addition to the fame and glory that go with this award.
