For Nippers returning to the Cape this year . . .
Welcome back to the upcoming Nipper Season, we look forward to seeing you all back on the beach!


WHAT AGE GROUP WILL MY CHILD BE IN THIS YEAR?

Each nipper must have turned 5 by 30th September 2011 to participate

Age groups are calculated as follows:

Whatever age your child is on 30th of September 2011 is the age they will be recorded at for the entire season. This means if your child is 5 on the 30th of September 2011 they are in the Under 6 age level. If your child is 10 on the 30th of September 2011 they are in the under 11 age level. Children stay at that age level for the entire nipper season. The age groups are: Under6, Under 7, Under 8, Under 9, Under 10, Under 11, Under 12, Under 13, Under 14.


WHAT ARE THE NIPPER SESSION TIMES AND DATES?

We have changed the Nipper program dates and times this year. Please refer to the Nipper events and competition page for all session dates and session times. This calendar also outlines all social activities offered for Nippers.

WHAT DOES NIPPERS COST?

Fees must be paid before your Nipper can commence training. Payment ensures your child is insured by Life Saving Victoria.

Fees are as follows:

$80.00 – First Nipper (this includes one parent associate member)

$50.00 – All subsequent Nippers

Another option is to join

the club under Nipper family membership package:

* 2 adults + 1 child/student - $110

* 2 adults + 2 children/students - $160

* 2 adults + 3 children/students - $210

HOW DO I JOIN THE CAPE PATERSON NIPPERS PROGRAM?

Online registrations are currently open. This is the best way to join as you will secure your child’s place. There are limited spots available for the program, so get in early!!

We also have a registration morning at Cape Paterson Surf Life Saving club late December if there are spots still available.

WHAT FORMS DO I NEED TO FILL OUT?

You will need to download the Nipper Information Booklet. This booklet includes all the information and forms you MUST complete and post prior to the first session. Nippers WILL NOT be able to attend sessions until these forms are received.


I WANT TO BE AN NIPPER AGE MANAGER. HOW DO I DO THIS?

Parent/Guardians are asked to consider assisting the program by volunteering to be an Age Group Manager, Parent/Guardian helper for one of the age groups. Each age group needs a few adult helpers at each session.

Nipper Age Managers are volunteers who run one of the age levels. Age managers are given training and all the resources required to run each session. The Nipper Delegate is always available for assistance with any questions age managers have.

Within the Nipper Information Booklet is a Parent Support Form please complete and post this. The Nipper Delegate will be in contact with you once the form has been recieved. The program can not run without Age Mangers and Helpers.
